Pedro Ximenez1 Abrill Tirado (Arequipa, November 17, 17842-Sucre, June 12, 18563) was a Peruvian composer who developed a large part of his career in Bolivia as chapel master of the Sucre Metropolitan Cathedral. His musical legacy covers early romanticism, although his musical style is typical of classicism. He is considered the most important musician of his time in South America. Its production (at least) forty symphonies, fifty masses, several songs, a large number of duets and triplets, hundreds of songs and pieces for guitar and piano .45His work stands out in relation to that of his contemporaries due to the exuberant amount of music he composed and belongs to the Latin American composers who lived during the time of Latin American independence.
